CREATE A DISTINCTIVE DIGITAL EXPERIENCE THAT CONNECTS PERFORMANCE, PRODUCT AND LIFESTYLE

The Challenge

Making Performance Feel Personal

Performance apparel often communicates through technical specifications, functional features and familiar sports imagery. ACT Running needed a visual experience that could communicate performance while feeling more human, contemporary and lifestyle-driven.

The challenge was to create a digital presence where the product, the athlete and the brand could share the same visual language.

  • Build a distinctive identity within a crowded activewear category
  • Balance performance credibility with lifestyle appeal
  • Make apparel and product details central to the experience
  • Create a flexible visual system that could scale across digital touchpoints

The Strategy

Put Movement at the Centre

The creative direction was built around the relationship between people, movement and product.

Rather than presenting running apparel as purely technical equipment, the experience treats it as part of an active lifestyle. Editorial imagery, generous layouts, restrained typography and strong product compositions work together to create a sense of movement without making the interface feel overly aggressive.

The strategy focused on three principles:

The strategy focused on three principles:

  • Performance: Let the product and its construction communicate function.
  • Movement: Use people, photography and composition to bring energy into the experience.
  • Clarity: Keep navigation, typography and product presentation clean enough for the experience to remain effortless.

Execution

From Running Culture to Digital Experience

The design translated the ACT Running direction into a complete digital visual system.

  1. Editorial-led art direction

Large-scale running and lifestyle imagery establishes an emotional connection with the audience, placing the athlete and movement at the heart of the experience.

  2. Product-first presentation

Product layouts give apparel space to breathe, allowing colour, material, silhouette and details to become part of the visual storytelling.

  3. A restrained digital language

Clean typography, structured grids and generous whitespace create a premium foundation for the more expressive imagery.

  4. Flexible visual compositions

The system explores multiple layouts and content compositions, allowing campaigns, collections and product stories to live within the same overall identity.

  5. Colour as a product language

The visual exploration extends into apparel colourways and supporting palettes, creating opportunities to organise collections while keeping the overall experience cohesive.

The Impact, Quantified

A Complete Digital Foundation for the Brand

The project was designed around a measurable growth loop:

The project brought the key elements of an activewear brand into one connected visual system:

The Work, As It Happened

From Movement to Visual System

The work began by establishing the ACT Running visual direction and exploring how the brand could express itself through athletes, apparel, typography, colour and composition.

From there, the system evolved into a series of digital layouts that tested different relationships between editorial imagery and product content. Product-focused sections, lifestyle moments and graphic treatments were brought together into a flexible ecommerce experience.

The final direction gives ACT Running a digital presence that doesn't simply sell running apparel. It builds a visual world around the people who wear it, the movement they create and the products that move with them.

Performance is the product. Movement is the story. The digital experience connects the two.

In Their Words

We'll Let the Results Do Most of the Talking

  • “Koncept rebuilt our entire online presence in under three months, and our online orders have nearly quadrupled since. They think like a partner, not a vendor.”

    Rachel Simmonds

    Founder, Northfield Organics

  • “What stood out was how few people we had to talk to get things done. One team, one point of contact, and the work still felt senior at every step.”

    James Whitfield

Marketing Director, Harrow & Vale Properties

  • “We've worked with agencies twice their size that couldn't move this fast without breaking something. Koncept hasn't dropped a ball yet.”

    Sarah Delgado

    VP Marketing, Vantera Health Clinics

  • “Their strategy work alone justified the engagement. The creative and performance marketing that followed just compounded it.”

    Michael Chen

    CEO, Loopline Technologies

  • “Time zones were never an issue. It genuinely felt like they were down the hall, even with a twelve-hour difference.”
